Ray Barnett

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc (Honours))

Ray grew up in Grafton, and graduated from the University of Sydney in 2000. After working in mixed practice in several regional towns in Australia (including Cobram VIC, Mount Isa QLD, Inverell NSW) and a year working in the United Kingdom, Ray returned to Grafton in 2007, and with Vicki established Clarence Valley Vet Clinic in 2010. Ray enjoys small animal surgery, but also likes to get out and about each week to tend to cattle and horses. 


Vicki Barnett

Veterinarian & Practice Owner (BVSc (Honours))

Vicki grew up in Melbourne, and graduated from the University of Queensland in 2002. Vicki's first vet job was in mixed practice in Grafton, then she spent 2 years doing locum work in various vet clinics in the UK before returning to Grafton in 2007.  After marriage in 2009, Vicki established Clarence Valley Vet Clinic with Ray in 2010. 

Vicki now dedicates herself to small animal care, both medical and surgical. Outside work, Vicki is busy trying to keep two daughters out of mischief, and enjoys taking the children and dogs to the beach. 

 


Leanne Lolic

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Leanne has worked in veterinary clinics since the early 2000s, and has a wealth of experience in animal care. Outside work, Leanne enjoys playing hockey, and having caravan adventures with her husband and children when she's not at home with her dogs and cat. 


Ashley Waghorn

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Ashley undertook her Veterinary Nursing work experience at Clarence Valley Vet Clinic in 2017, and has been a valued staff member every since. 

Ashley is dedicated to the animals in her care. Outside of work, she is a keen Campdraft competitor, and has numerous horses and dogs to keep her busy at home. 


Erin Morgan

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Erin started veterinary nursing in 2007, and joined Clarence Valley Vet Clinic in 2019. She has spent her life with horses, cattle, dogs and cats and has excellent skills and knowledge in the care of all these species. 

Erin spends most of her time outside of the clinic undertaking farm work, and training and riding horses. 

 


Matisse King

Veterinary Nurse (Certificate IV Veterinary Nursing)

Matisse started employment at Clarence Valley Vet Clinic in 2019 after work experience here to obtain her Veterinary Nursing qualification. 

She enjoys all aspects of veterinary nursing, and helps manage a cattle property when she's not working at the clinic. She has several dogs of her own, bothing working dogs and dachshunds, as well as horses. 


Sharnie Boyd

Veterinary Nurse

Sharnie commenced employment at Clarence Valley Vet Clinic in 2020, and is currently studying for her vet nursing qualification. 

She also works part-time in a local pharmacy, and has several dogs and horses of her own to care for when she's not working.
